Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider, Supabase). Optionally a display name.
• Your tracking data— which projects and episodes you have checked off, your ratings, private notes, personal recap picks and saved links, and "don't track" choices. This data is isolated to your account with database row-level security; other users can never see it.
• Personal library files — if the library feature is enabled for your account and you import comic archives you own, we store their page images privately so only your account can request time-limited reading links.
• Messages you send us — if you email hello@multiverseorder.com, we keep the correspondence to be able to reply.

What we do not collect

• No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no data brokers.
• No selling or renting of personal data — to anyone, ever.
• Browsing without an account requires no sign-up and stores no personal data on our servers.

Local storage

To make the site fast, we cache the public catalog (project and episode lists) in your browser's localStorage, and our authentication provider keeps your session token there so you stay signed in. This data stays on your device; clearing your browser storage removes it.

Third-party services

• Supabase — hosts our database and authentication. Your account and tracking data, plus the private index that authorizes personal-library reads, live there.
• Cloudflare R2 — stores imported personal-library page images in a private bucket. The browser receives only short-lived, issue-specific links after your Supabase session and ownership row have been verified.
• Vercel — hosts the website and may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to serve and secure the site.
• TMDB— poster and backdrop artwork is loaded from TMDB's image servers; your browser contacts them directly when images load.
• YouTube — recap and breakdown videos are embedded from YouTube. When you play one, YouTube may set cookies and process data under Google's privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can reset your watch progress from your profile page. To delete your account and all associated data, including any personal library files, email us and we will delete it for you.

Children

MultiverseOrder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
